my config is as following:
core 2 quad q6600, 5gb ram, 8800gt, 1tb+500gb hdd on a p5ne SLi motherboard

I was thinking of buying an msi 7770 power edition but
they are out of stock in my area.

So was thinking about increasing my budget a bit and getting a 650ti
i am getting a zotac 650ti...is zotac any good?? or should i get it from
some other company

may main concern is ....will a 650 ti get bottlenecked because of my cpu?
will the PSU be able to handle it (i guess it will)

Solution
If the price is good for the Zotac then I don't see why not. I have a Palit GTS 450 and they're a cheap brand and it is working fine with a OC to 850mhz core and 850mhz memory (DDR3). So long as you have enough watts (450minimum) you'll be fine. Judging by the age of the system the GPU you're replacing probably uses more power anyway. It won't be bottlenecked by the Q6600, you'd be surprised how much life it still has left in it. If you have a decent cooler and overclock it to 3ghz (which it can easily do) and that system will fly. You'll have to bear in mind increased power consumption though.

i am stretching my budget from a 7770

Zotac is giving 2 yr warranty..... i knw by 2 years it will be old but i would still like a 3 year warranty atleast considering that my 8800 is 5 years old :)

Yes my PSU is Cooler master 500W

good observation about the old gpu buddy! that is why i said i guess in the original post :p
the only thing holding me back from getting zotac is the 2 yr warranty on it...ill wait for the exact ratess on other 650ti's to come... ill buy msi 7770 if i can get my hand on it. both are on my list now

First ill buy the card and then ill get an aftermarket cooler for the proccy.
