The GTX660M is a good GPU for a laptop. The DDR5 is great, and while it might not be able to play BF3 on ULTRA, it can play it on Med/High and AA turned off with zero issues, especially if you run at 1600x900. And the i7 3630M CPU is also very excellent.

If that's the best laptop you can get for your money, it will do very well.

Did you know there are 690 titan laptops? Laptops are definately for gaming.

I took the GTX 660M DDR5 2GB bcoz I can only spend 1500 usd.
(I am buying from Brazil and we have heavy taxes for electronic imports)
I am going to play mainly BF3 and BF4...
A friend of mine gets over 30 fps in BF3 with all max, 1920x1080, 16xAF, 4xAA with this laptop.

O laptop é adequado pra jogos atuais. Laptops não aão ideais para jogos porque não tem ventilação adequada. Por isso o CPU e gaphics chip têm performance inferior comparado com o desktop. i7 mobile é mais lento do que desktop i7.

Eu tenho um laptop com i7 2640m e AMD HD6690m. Quando jogo Diablo 3 ou Skyrim, o laptop fica quente e os fans fazem muito barulho.

My idea is to be able to play BF3/4 in home, at work or at college.
I would not be able to carry a desktop rig with me to these places.

I have those portable laptop cooling desks which I can carry with me.
The laptop uses Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste. I heard the GPU temp never goes over 78º Celsius in full load.

But ofc, nobody wants a 45º Celsius thing over their legs.

I believe my portable cooling desk would decrease the temperature for 5º

What if I get this thermal paste and brush the laptop case with it?
