  1. The board/cpu will have not real issues "supporting" 4k. I think all the newer cards support 4k

    Nvidia 6XX cards

I am almost sure the 7xxx cards from AMD support it as well.

Also, you made at least 2 threads on the same topic, please avoid this in the future.

    Multiple Posts
Sometimes after hitting Submit, the forum may take a bit of time to post the thread, just give it some time and it should do its thing. Repeat clicking leads to multi-posts by mistake.
This is more difficult for all users because you will have users helping you in each thread(makes it harder for you and them to track what has been tried or suggested) and not all in one place.
  2. 4k is really something like 3840x2160. I know my 7870 can support 4096x2160 (says so on the box). Any newer midrange or higher card should support it. Now to get a playable framerate you need to $300 or more.
  3. For the record Nukemaster, sometimes when you are creating a thread it lags a little bit, and if you try and hit submit again, it creates a copy for each submission :/. I had run into this in the past myself.
  4. The issue here is where do you get 4k monitor?

I have seem submit hit over 4 times, Maybe I will edit my multiple post comment to reflect it.
  6. Yes, the multiple threads bother me too, but just wanted to state that it is not always the user's fault!
  7. Something like a HD 7870 XT or 7870 GHz edition will get the job done.
  8. I would say this depends on what you actually want to do at that resolution. If it is just office apps, then it doesn't really matter. If it is gaming, video editing, 3D animation, you are going to need a specialized solution.
