Is it 670 or 680 really worth it in my case?

Hello guys! Im going to build a somewhat , workstation/gaming rig. I'll use this rig mostly on work like graphic designing (PS & AI), 3D rendering (Cinema4D), will also tap on CAD in the near future. The only game i'll play is Starcraft 2 series in ultra settings (a must)but will also consider high demanding games (not a fan of first person shooter). That is why it's best to have a nvidia card rather than AMD due to CUDA advantage for Adobe Products. I wont go for a workstation card due to to its price and they are not good enough for high demanding games.

Im leaning towards the gtx 670 because ive seen 670 cards that cheaper or almost the same price with 660ti. Same goes for the 680 having the same price with 670. (Philippine Price)

GTX 670
1. Gainward GTX 670 Phantom 2gb 256bit - PHP 16,710.00
2. Palit GTX 670 Jetstream 2gb 256bit - PHP 16840.00

Asus GTX 660 Ti TOP DirectCU II 2gb 192bit (OC Ed) PHP 16,190.00
EVGA GTX 660 Ti, FTW 3gb 192bit - PHP 17,330.00

Youll notice the prices are almost the same considering the 670 is the more advanced than the ti.

GTX 680
1. Palit GTX 680 Jetstream 2gb256bit (OC Ed) - PHP 21999.00

Asus GTX 670 DirectCU II 2gb 256bit ddr5, (OC Ed) - PHP 19999.00
Asus GTX 680 DirectCU II 2gb/256bit ddr5, (OC ed) - PHP 27999.00

But the real question is, is it really worth having 670/680 for my pc usage which is mainly for work considering they have higher number of cuda cores than 660ti? Or, is the 660 or 660ti enough?

Is palit or gainward models listed above worth having?

Thanks guys.. I WONT DO CPU & GPU OVERCLOCKING by the way...

Well you have not mentioned other system specs so its hard to tell...if you have picked slow cpu and other components then go for 660ti, if its mid end build then 670, high end 680. lower cards can be overclocked to give you similar performance tot he higher models

So in my post, Gainward and Palit 670 is almost of the same price with ASUS 660ti. Why are they so cheap? What are the cutoffs they made? Are these Gainward or Palit 670 models worth having?

Well Asus is much more popular then Gainward and Palit imo so maybe that is why ;) I've never owned a Gainward or Palit video card so i honestly could not say.

Because the Gainward and Palit cards are crap.

Not that Palit and Gainward are crap but the thing is that Asus overlaps them both. So 'problem' is about Asus being too good, not other being crap.
