New System, Build now or wait?

My friend would like me to build him a desktop, and he can spend around $800 on it. Now, I could build one with a 3570k right now, or I could wait for Haswell.

What do you guys think? Haswell comes out in June correct? Have there been any benchmarks released? I thought I read somewhere, maybe on Toms, that it looked like performance would be mostly improved in the iGpu department, not in CPU performance.

Another thing to consider is that I can get a 3570K for $189 at Microcenter right now, and $40 off a motherboard, so I could get a Z77 for around $50-$60. And I don't know if they are going to have that kind of deal for Haswell, or if it will even be in steady supply until July.

If you wait 3 months you will be able to pick up the next generation of intel processors. Haswell is defiantly worth the wait because the built in gpu in most of the cpu's outperforms the current a10 apu's intergrated graphics. Intel are also claiming speed boosts of 10-15% for the same money.

Yeah the iGPU is cool what is happening with it, but it doesn't matter for anyone getting a discrete GPU.

I've also heard the 10-15% performance increase, but as far as I know there are no benchmarks yet.

So the big question is I wonder if Microcenter will stock Haswell by June and if they will have a good deal on it like the 3570K.

Like $262 gets me a 3570k and MSI Z77 Motherboard with 2 PCIE3 16x slots at Microcenter right now. I have a feeling the same with Haswell may cost $300-$350, not sure if the extra performance is worth the potential extra cost.

Yeah those show like 10% better performance tops, but no game benchmarks for CPU performance.

Do you guys think that it will cost similar to current Ivy prices and be well supplied and stocked at places?

Or will it cost a premium for 6 months and go out of stock often and be hard to find?
