Performance of new ram.

I upgraded my memory from 6 gb of corsair xms3 1600mhz 7-7-7 to 12gb hyper x 1600mhz 9-9-9 ram. After installing it I only had around 1200mhz speed with 6-6-6 clocks. So I oced it to 1594mhz at 8-8-8 clocks. What I would like to know is what kind of performance will I see.

You have more RAM now. That will help if you were running out of RAM due to using applications that require more than 6GB of RAM such as photo/video editing or rendering. In gaming it will not help. You actually have slower RAM now if you had DDR3 1600 cas 7 and now you have DDR3 1600 cas 8. The lower the cas the faster the RAM.
