Thermaltake fan replacement for i5 3470

Hey guys,

I just got myself an i5-3470 CPU, and I replaced the stock cooler with a Thermaltake Contac 16 and it works great. In full load (Prime 95) it barely hits 54 deg Celsius.
But the problem is, the cooler fan has a 3 pin connection to the MB, so the fan speed cannot be adjusted dynamically. This means it's pretty loud (2500RPM) all the time.

So I was thinking of replacing the 92mm fan (which is detachable) with this one.
A Noiseblocker Blacksilent XE1 fan.

Is this a viable option? I can accept some higher temperatures for some silence, especially because I don't think the difference would be that big.

What do you guys think?

PS: I'm not planning to do much overclocking

EDIT: I see regarding the air-pressure there is quite the difference. 0.95mm-H20 vs 2.6mm-H20 for the Blackfan XE1 respectively the Thermaltake Contac 16
Could this affect the performance (or lack thereof) of the fan?

ASUS Fan Xpert should make it possible to change the fan speed of ALL your fans that are installed in your MOBO.

Here is a link to a download page with the free software. It works with all MOBOs there is. http://drivers.softpedia.com/downloadTag/Asus+FAN+Xpert...

Thanks!

But..
I get an error when trying to install: "The model does not support this application".
Should this program work with a Gigabyte motherboard?

Also, how can software control my fan speed when the BIOS can't ? (3 pin fan, no PWM)

Don't...
