Yesterday i downloaded something only to find out it was a virus or something. Now i have the "This website has been blocked for you". It asks me to fill out a survey on popular websites like google, bing, youtube, facebook, bing, etc. i know that it is a scam. I've tried a lot of things already. I cannot check my hosts file, "acess is denied". I dont have any unusual extensions. Ive tried to use a malware security program, but i cannot find a good one that has a free trial. I also cannot access advanced boot options, pressing f8 before start wont open up so i can go into safemode with networking. Is there anything i can do to get rid of this virus? Please any help is appreciated.

I'd personally use a rescue disk.
AVG
Norton
Avast
All have decent rescue disks. I personally use avg, Ive had good luck with it.

On a non infected pc go to the link above, Burn the disk. Boot to the disk on the infected machine and run the virus scan it provides.

Personally, I would format and reinstall windows. I don't have any data I care about though.

Hi,

You can take the hard drive out and scan from another computer, once the virus gone.

Reinstall it and download and install malwarebytes and roguekiller, hopefully will get rid of the remains

rougekiller is a nice tool for that, two clicks and host file is fixed. run the scan then click the fix hosts.

Direct Download
I would suggest you run malware bytes after running rouge killer.
