Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: this week with the last parts being purchased friday.

Budget Range: Total about $2,000

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Watching Movies, Browsing the internet.

Are you buying a monitor: No

Parts to Upgrade: Everything, building from scratch

Do you need to buy OS: no

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg, amazon, any site that the thread has had success with really. I am willing to try the site if it has good reviews.

Location: Florida, USA

Parts Preferences: Im here asking for the best

Overclocking: Not right now, maybe down the road.

SLI or Crossfire: No

Additional Comments: I would like the top of the line graphics card. I plan on running 2 monitors. Should I double up on graphic cards or will 1 be fine? I am willing to fork out a little extra if 2 will benefit me. I am mostly going to be using this to play all types of games from League of Legends to ArmA3 I would like to run on the highest graphics and not have to worry. I would like to have an SSD for my OS. In the future I will purchase a drobo for my other files etc..

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Its cheaper to build it yourself than buy a pc already built.

Edited: I wont need a mouse, monitor or keyboard. This is for USD. I plan on purchasing some of the items after work and the rest on friday when I get paid. I will need everything else besides that. Any input is appreciated.

Edited again: If it matters the mouse keyboard monitors that I am using are...
Razer Naga Epic Gaming Mouse
BlackWidow Ultimate RZ03-00380100
2 BenQ GL2450HM 24" 1080p Official MLG LED Monitor

Thanks. Hoping I can get some input on what would be the best build for me with everything else. If I decided later down the road to game across 2 monitors would it be in the best interest to add another?

Gaming across two monitors doesn't work real well - the center of your attention would have two thick bezels in the middle of it. :p

As for the build, here's something that will max out pretty much anything on a single monitor.

It's got overhead for overclocking, and is a mid-tower case so you can add a second GPU, a sound card, 20 hard drives, or whatever (*And has an 850w power supply against the decision to buy a third monitor and play in surround with a second 670.) If you aren't comfortable with overclocking or would prefer a small form factor build, let me know - SFF rigs that perform better than most full towers are my specialty.

I've never overclocked before so I would rather start with a build that doesnt rely on one at first. Maybe down the road I might try overclocking but not right now atleast. As far as gaming across 2 monitors, thats the reason I doubt I would like it. Seems like it would be more than a hassle and would be hard to pick up on. Thanks for helping out!

The point I was getting at is that people don't game on two monitors - they use one or three.
As for overclocking, you won't have to rely on it, but this build lets you have it as an option for the future if you'd like.

Anyways, if you like, I can make you a small form factor build that doesn't overclock, maxes games, and can completely hide behind your monitor.

Ahhh sorry misread your last message. I think I will stick to the first build you listed. I appreciate it alot! Would a 680 or a radeon 7970 be a better option than the 670?

Would you mind linking a good card? Ive seen Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 3GB Video Card linked on the forums a couple times? Would that be what you suggest?

The 680 is pointless - it's only 5% faster than a 670, but it costs 25-30% more.

The 7970 will produce higher framerates, but on a 60Hz monitor, where you're being a smart person and enabling vsync and capping the framerates at 60fps anyways, both cards will max out games equally.

That being said, I've played games a fair bit on both cards, and prefer the 670 - even though it produces fewer frames, there's less latency between the frames, and it's noticeable on the 7970. (However, that's coming from someone who plays on a 120Hz monitor, and can easily tell the difference between 120fps and 60, so you might not notice any difference.)
