I wanted to see what others thought on my current selection of parts for a new build im about to purchase. Key points this will be a AMD build only, my budget was 1000$ but since i have 0 parts left over from my last pc the reality is 1500$. My current concern is 2 things, that the video card will fit the case with side fan installed and 2nd will the stock cpu cooler be enough for this selection. And yes i am aware it will look like a UFO when im done hehe.

ok this brings up another issue i had forgotten about in a area where i lack knowledge, so the basics are what ever your total power consumption is you will need to add a extra 100 watts i think. so the video card will always ask of the most power and that video card advises 500 watt minimum do i then start to add the rest of the wattage from other parts after the recommeneded 500 watts or will that 500wat min encompass all of the parts if that so then the 600 watt Corsair CX600 is a good choice. If not then im guessing around 700 watt psu but im not sure

This build leaves a good amount of money for your audio equipment which I suggest you look into other things. I can tell you the headset is lacking and you can get far better for the price. The speakers I can't say for certain I don't deal with speakers. Best place to go is head over to Head-Fi forums and post there it's filled with audiophiles just tell them what you want it for and they help you out from there. Generally just tell them intent of use (gaming, music and if so what genre, or sound you want), price, budget anything else you can think of. Trust me you don't know what you've been missing out on. I spent around $70 on my setup Superlux 668b and Xonar DG sound card and it sound phenominal, and has blown away everything I heard in audio quality (though due to pleather ear pads your ears sweat so I need to pick up velour pads to improve long listening comfort).

You have a pci-e 2.0 slot for your GPU there is enough cash to upgrade the board to something with a 3.0 slot if you want but I didn't bother as it won't give you any performance increase and to use the combo savings.

Wow thx Assasin32, I like the prices and alot of those parts, the case i picked out tho i am very much hooked on. That heat sinc Cooler Master Hyper 212 i had originally picked but read in the forums on the case that it did not fit with the sife fan installed and it was advised the heat sinc that came with the processor does just fine and will fit with the side case fan installed. But i did not know about that parts picker sight VERY nice i will be using that, thx man !!!

You really need an aftermarket tower heatsink to provide proper airflow direction and cooling if your overclocking, doing it on stock will get you no where.

If you were going for stock settings and not OC, I put in an i5 instead of AMD it will just give you performance stock (and OC, but amd is cheaper and can do well OC).
