Hai!!
I am getting a low FPS of around and below 100 in online game "Second Life", whereas i expected it to be around 300+ and if over-clocked to push upto 800+

I have the below said system configuration:(brand new)
Processor = i7-3820
Motherboard = Gigabyte X79-UD3
Graphic Card = Zotak Geforce GTX-670
RAM = Corsair Vengence 2 X 4GB
SSD = Kingston 256GB ( system prgs & game prg loaded in SSD with 200GB free space left)
Hard Disk = Seagate 1TB (other files to store,with about 900GB free space left)
Power Supply = 750 Watts SMPS
Liquid Cooler Master
Monitor = Samgung 20" LCD
OS = Windows-7 Professional (64bit)
Internet Avg Speed = 8Mbps

VGA settings brought to High on Performance and Low on Quality
Only 1 system connected & only 1 game run and other prgs closed when gaming

Looking forward for a solution to get high FPS.....

With Regards,
Jimmy

I'm not really sure I understand. You aren't specific about your monitor so it's possible it is a 120Hz, but most are still 60Hz. That means that anything over 60fps isn't going to be displayed. ~100 is a perfectly normal figure if your system isn't struggling.

Well it's possible that it's Vsync, though it seems unlikely.

I still don't really understand what the problem is. Assuming you aren't hitting 100% CPU/GPU load and aren't having any overheating issues, then everything is fine. People saying they have 800fps might not be lying, but it's an entirely redundant figure, their monitors are still only showing <120 of them. Depending on the game, you might not even see the difference above 30fps or so, the human eye is a bit rubbish.

The FRAPS which i use gives a detail study of the FPS output, also there is a huge difference in gaming when it comes to fps, also the game has been mentioned in my earlier post

Yeah what I'm getting at is that your computer doesn't appear to be struggling in any way (you wouldn't expect it to) so any results you get aren't going to be very meaningful.

Second Life is old, and not demanding. It's possible that there is some sort of bottleneck somewhere due to some quirk, but you are already achieving an fps of higher than your monitors refresh rate, so it's really not going to help you to increase fps at all.

If you are still concerned that something is definitely up, I'd try running something more taxing to see if you can eliminate any potential problems, either a more modern game or a benchmarking program.

Yes, i need to find what that that bottleneck issue which limits my fps to 100 while others get above 500 in the same game with more or less the same config...
Primary Question is how do i get an output of 500+ with the said config without overclocking the CPU
Prgs like FRAPS, Game Boosters show the exact count, and it is in no way related with what we see with our bare eyes
Thx for understanding .....
