Graphics Card Help!

Hey guys I have a problem here.

I gave my friend $521 and made a build and bought it. I never really know about PCs. But right now i research a TON. And learned new things. The CPU is an Intel i5 3450. And my ram is 8GB[One card].
And believe it or not, he bought a shitty GeForce GT 620 2GB which is very crappy as hell and costs $44. It ran Dota 2 at 17FPS at max settings. I told him why the fuck would you buy this shit. He told me the budget wasn't enough. What the fuck.
Guys PLEASE i need you're help. Please suggest a good GPU that suites my PC maybe at the price range of $170-190 please guys and thank you!

Any comments and Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

For $500 he could have gotten you a MUCH better system which could play games at 40fps on medium and high. He gave you the shaft on that one. He was uneducated and messed up.

Get an hd7850 or gtx660 with that money.

Whichever you can afford. The 660 is slightly more expensive but slightly better.

Yo man. Can a 300W PSU power an Intel i5 3450 and AMD HD 7850? Or I'm still gonna buy a new PSU. If you're asking, YES he bought a shitty 300W PSU.

The motherboard is fine. That would have been difficult to mess up. Your bios will tell you what motherboard you have.

You need a different PSU. 500w from a company like Antec, XFX, Corsair, Seasonic.

This build is a classic "needs the best CPU" mistake. Look at my build. I have an i3 and a powerful GPU. I can max most games no problem. Gaming is 85% GPU and 15% CPU. You have a really good CPU, but your GPU is still the weak point. The 7850 is a good card and will get med/high settings in current games, but do not expect to max everything. It simply wont happen at 1080p.

Yes a 7870 can max most games. A 7870 XT or LE editions would be even better.
