Hey all. I've been having this problem almost since I first built this computer, about two months ago. During any game I play, the screen will go black, after a few minutes to several hours of play, and the sound from the speakers will get caught in a kind of screech-mode. Usually this meant that i had to force the restart. Control-Alt-Delete only worked for Starcraft 2, for some reason. When first trouble-shooting, I was told it might be PSU issue, so I got a new, much better one. Problem still occurs. I've tested the memory using memtest. Everything was fine with that, after running it for 9 hours. I've kept track of the CPU and GPU temps and they seem to be fine but maybe I'll check that again. So, besides that, what could be the issue? Should I try running with onboard graphics, and just take out the GPU to see if thats the problem?

Here's my build:
Intel Pentium G860
Powercolor Radeon 7850
Asrock H77m micro-atx board
Seasonic 550W 80plus Gold G series PSU
G.Skill 8GB RAM
Seagate barracuda 500GB HDD
and I'm using a Vizio 23inch HDTV for a monitor, which someone told me might not be compatible??? and that's why it's not working? I dont know. Please, if anyone has any suggestions, I've been trying to figure this out for too long, and would greatly appreciate it.

Seasonic have stated that their 550 watt PSU is not good enough for a high end video card, you will need about 750 watts to support that video card.

Do you have a link for that? I did a lot of research and asked around on Tom's, and it seemed that this was fine for it. The minimum requirement for my card is 500watt.

Isn't it funny when you read something casually but don't think it is important enough to add to your Favourite folder? Now I can't find the link that referred to the Seasonic 550w not able to handle high end graphic cards! :(

All the reviews about Seasonic are great and the only problem with Seasonic as best as I can find, so far, is the price being higher than the average cost of a PSU.

550 watt PSU would be fine as long as it is a Seasonic brand as it delivers a higher watt n the 12v rail than most other brands. It has 540 watts / 45A on the 12v rail.

I sort of jumped the gun a bit on this one as most users don't choose the Seasoic brand. Sorry for any confusion. :)
