Replace i7 920 Motherboard

My Alienware Aurora Desktop stopped booting up and I got an electrical smell from the system. I was told by Dell that is was the motherboard because of the test code I heard.
Is there an upgrade to this board that I can use?
I also purchased a 850 W power supply that I would like to replace the present 525 W PS.

You just need to fine any X58 based board(they only made ONE chipset for LGA 1366).

The downside is going to be cost. Since X58 was a higher end part, the boards are not cheap(being older now, it may be even more costly.).

A quick look on Newegg and Ncix seems to only show server versions of LGA 1366 left.

Also ensure you match the size of the old board(mATX boards only have 4 slots, that is the give away.).
