I think i have a pretty bad chip to be able to run the physics test at 4.6 i have to put voltage at 1.45, do you think its too high?? by the way my cooling is a coolermaster v8 and temps looks pretty good not going more than 71 C at 4.4 with 6 hr of p95. to have it stable at 4.4 vcore has to be at least 1.31

I'm no master at overclocking myself (with Intel at least, I spent hours on my olh Phenom II x4 965BE) but as a common rule, as long as you keep the temps down, and your overclock is stable, I don't see much point in worrying about voltages. You want to find the lowest amount of power needed to keep your chip stable at 4.6GHz, sure, but think about it. By the time that CPU dies (a good 5-10 years with a higher voltage) it will be quite outdated, and it will be time to upgrade anyway. I know that voltage is a bit high though, maybe try just 4.5 if you want, seems to come down to just finding the right combonation in the BIOS settings.

I probably will change after 2 or 3 years so i think i am good.
BTW I had a phenom 965 BE OC at 4.0 GHz also. that cpu was a beast!!

Haha, I got mine to 3.9 GHz with an H60 in push/pull, but once I hit 1.5 - 1.6 voltage and couldn't go any higher I decided it was probably time to call it quits and upgrade to Intel. Happy Overclocking!
