SSD Noob Question YAY :D

Solution
Motherboards normally ship with several SATA cables. They can be used for a variety of devices including solid state drives. The same cables can be used with either SATA 2 3Gb/s ssd's or SATA 3 6Gb/s ssd's.

Sometimes you might see cables being advertised as SATA 2 or SATA 3 cables. It is an advertising gimmick. There is only one international standard for sata cables.
