Hello everyone, about 9 months ago I bought a Dell XPS 8500, and to be honest I have been rather disappointed in the choice of graphics card Dell made. I would like to upgrade from the current 7570 Radeon Graphics card to a newer iteration, I am open to alternative graphics cards though (like a GTX one). My budget is about 300 USD, however it is flexible to an extent. I wouldn't mind upgrading the power supply as well, but would prefer to avoid it if possible, bellow are my full system specs.

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601)
System Manufacturer: Dell Inc.
System Model: XPS 8500
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3450 CPU @ 3.10GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.1GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM
Card name: AMD Radeon HD 7570
Card Manufacturer: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.
Power Supply: Dell manufactured, max 460 watts
Monitors: 1920x1080 and 1600x900

Thank you in advance to everyone who reads this.

I'm sorry but with your rather high budget and crappy PSU you'll need to upgrade the PSU. On the bright side you can have a great computer after you upgrade the PSU and GPU.

500W is more than enough (has the connectors needed and is of a good brand vs the unknown dell one).

Then for the GPU the 7870 LE (a 7950 with some cores disabled) the toms article on the GPU http://www.tomshardware.com/s/7870/#/article/
I wouldn't recommend the PowerColor edition card though, here is the card but listed at two different retailers, as long as you're comfortable buying from SuperBiiz i'd get it from them since you don't have to bother with a rebate.

Thanks, this may be just what I needed, I was looking at very similar models to this for the GPU but wanted someone with more experience in this field to advise me. Thanks again!
