Why are you upgrading? The build is for my father in-law who is using a build that is over 7 years old. He often has 3 or 4 browser windows open, each with several tabs and this is causing major strain on his very outdated system. Ideally it needs two matching full hd monitors as he is currently using a 15” and a 17”. I know he could just buy a Dell system or a cheap off the shelf; however it was suggested that he would get more bang for his buck and longevity out of a self-build. So far I have done some research and came back with the parts below, totaling £439.12 but excluding monitor.
Addtional Questions: Will this setup work? Will i need to buy a GFX card if i were to want 2 monitors? Is there anything that can be upgraded or degraded to make an overall better balanced build? Thermal Comp, does the CPU come with some already on it? Or do i need to buy some? SSD, is it worth it for a bootdrive? The person who will be using this build might not be the most reliable person to change the installation directory of programs.
