Will not power on

Yesterday, I plugged in an Ethernet cable into my computer, and it restarted itself. I thought it was weird, but whatever. I turned off my computer, flipped the switch on my Seasonic M12II PSU to be sure, then I removed my wireless card.

I flipped the switch on my psu for power, and... My Asus M5A97's motherboard power light didn't show up. And my computer wont power on now.

Anybody know why? I don't understand why it would stop working when it was working a few seconds beforehand.

Hey. saw your post, thanks for trying to help!

I left my power supply off overnight, and switched it on this afternoon, instant power. i guess i had to wait. that or the cable wasn't plugged in right, because i re-plugged it a few times.

And since your post was the only and most helpful, you get to have your answer picked as right! :)
