replace 1gb ram with 2gb on dell 1018 inspiron

i have replaced the ram on my dell inspiron 1018 (which was working perfectly before) now it won't start up. 5 beeps, pause 5 beeps, pause.

Any help.

5 Beeps usually means Coin Cell CMOS battery failure. Did you accidentally dislodge this small internal battery when you had the unit open changing the memory?
