Computer still freezes, no BSOD ...

Can someone help me? My computer freezes with BSOD, I thought it was registry but It wasn't. I re-installed windows 7 and today I got the same problem, It freezes with no BSOD and I'm pretty sure it isn't RAM. I was thinking PSU, can someone help? Thanks.

No clue, without full system specs. Please include the brand and model (not just wattage) of your PSU.

When you say "I'm pretty sure it isn't RAM", did you actually runa full MemTest on it? If not, you need to. You have to rule out everything so you can zero in on the culprit.

My PSU is a CoolerMaster eXtreme Power Plus 500W
CPU is AMD Phenom II 965 BE
GPU is AMD 6850 Sapphire
Mobo is ASRock 970 EXTREME3

Yeah. You've got a Coolermaster PSU. Although supposedly it's one of their few able to actually produce the wattage on its label, it becomes "noisy" under load, which will cause stability problems. Your system would run reliably on a 380W Antec Earthwatts.

I have no money at the moment to spend on a new PSU when I'm sure that it is the problem 100%. Can someone find me a really reliable PSU on newegg for around $90? Thank you guys for all your help.

The 380W Antec Earthwatts is $50: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371033 and can run your rig 24/7.
It is a higher quality unit than the cheaper Corsair "Builder" PSUs.

I was planning on upgrading in the future, overclocking to 4.2Ghz, Better cooler. Crossfire my graphics and maybe an SSD. I don't think a 380W will handle that. But I did just get into hardware a year ago. (only 15 years old.) Thanks again.
