Ok so, I'm building an mATX gaming PC
Purchase date: June 2013
Purpose: play high end crysis and bioshock infinite.
budget, less than $1300
OC: Yes, I've never done it before but I'd like to start.
case: Silverstone Temjin TJ08B-E
mobo: ASRock Z77 Extreme4-M
cpu: i5-3570k
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8gb(2*4gb) Arctic White 1.35V
cooler: coolermaster hyper 212
psu: Antec EarthWatts Platinum Series EA-650 650W
gpu: This is where I'm a bit stuck HD 7870, 7950, 7970 are all in budget just I don't know how justified the extra $200 expenditure is on going up from the 7870 to 7970. I've heard that the 7870 can be OC'd to matching the performance of the 7950 at least.
HDD: Start of with a Samsung 840 pro 256gb SSD I think, save for a while then put in one of those big 4tb Seagate things.
Optical: open to suggestions.
I think that's everything. A couple of final thoughts tho, if you think a part is unnecessarily expensive or powerful for what I want to do please feel free to make suggestions but PLEASE tell me why... anddd I'm living in China which means I will be buying the majority of my parts thru stores you've probably never heard of but I do have embassy postage which means I can get stuff delivered just like anyone actually in the US. Just takes a couple extra weeks.
