Okay, this is strange and weird but I guess it was coming as I recently had my computer attacked by viruses. I ran full scan and MSE fixed everything and cleaned up all the viruses.

Everything except one!

The "Network" folder in my OS is not working; not working in the sense that when I click it it open the window but a dangling message shows up saying "Network Discovery and file sharing has been turned OFF" .

When I click on that message and click to turn it ON, it vanishes and appears again and the cycle continues. Any ideas how I should fix it.

P.S.- I have no other third-party software such as TuneUp or anything. Just CCleaner!

I'm guessing some services have been turned OFF.

Thanks for the answers in advance. Cheers.

Hello sir,
Thank you for your answer. I ran Norton Internet Security 2013 trial full scan and till now it didn't find anything. Yeah I'm a bit hopeful that MSE did clean everything. Anyways, I'll let you know when its finished. But what I'm concerned about is that I won't be able to work with Network folder again unless I format my PC again. How do I fix THAT?

To change "Network Discovery and file sharing" open the "Control Panel" and select "Network and Sharing Center" and then select "Change Advanced Sharing Settings" found in the upper left corner of the window then select "Turn on file and printer sharing."

I also recommend running multipe virus scans. I personally run SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes.

All the best,
not Brett! ;)
