Planetside 2 runs well at this point?

So I heard that when Planetside 2 launched a big problem was that the framerate would drop tremendously, even with good builds. Has this issue been fixed because I'm very interested in playing the game. Will my specs work well with the game?

CPU: Intel i5-3570K @3.4 Ghz
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 680 OC 2 GB GDDR5 DVI-I/DVI-D/HDMI/Display port PCI-Express 3.0 Graphics Card

Hope you're not bragging - those specs are high end. More than enough.
Bare in mind Planetside 2 requires a powerful processor, so I would recommend overclocking it if you find frames a bit low.

Hope this helps.

Haha no I'm not bragging, I was just wondering if it was enough because I remember hearing Totalbiscuit saying that even with his monstrous PC his frames would dip to somewhere around 30 fps.

Your CPU will be the bottleneck. I would be getting a 3770k, if you don't want any bottleneck. Even then you'll need to overclock it to around 4.5 Ghz.

Could you please select a solution as it always helps. Thanks :)

Yeah he's not bragging. I have a 2500k @ 4.4Ghz and 680 and I couldn't run the game all that well shortly after it came out. Same issue as he described.

Does planetside 2 utilize hyper threading? Just curious as to why he should have an i7.

1920x1080 and btw maybe they have fixed the frames problem PS2 had from launch because I downloaded it a few days ago and with the built in fps counter in the game I was clocking at around 60-100 fps, with occasional dips to somewhere around 40 or 50. Also I'm not overclocking my CPU either.
