Error with System Restore Configuration in Windows 7

Hi Everyone,

I have System Restore enabled on my Windows 7 Computer however there are 0 bytes allocated to Restore Points -

When I attempt to allocate space I am met with the following -

I click OK and then...

I do have adequate space on my drive -

I have tried turning System Restore On & Off and this has not improved the situation.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

try to set that zero to 3 % for the restore part then apply .

Hi Scout,

The % doesn't appear to matter - out of curiosity I did attempt 3%, however the error message returned was identical to that provided on other occasions. In all cases I have been careful to make sure that the amount of actual disk space required is significantly less than the available free space on Drive C. Any further thoughts?

Have you checked the drive for errors? Bad sectors could be a cause.

Hi All,

It turns out that I have the wrong drive selected. A simple mistake, I have now selected C drive and it is working fine. Thanks for all of your help.
