Is it possible to overclock my 3770K without rebooting my computer?

I would love to be able to switch between my stock clock speed and my overclocked speed without restarting my computer, for example when I want to play a game vs. when I'm doing school work. Is that even possible? I'm running a 3770K on an Msi Mpower Z77 motherboard. Thanks for feedback!

MSI may offer software to oc via an app.
But another solution is simpler.
Just go ahead and oc all you want, but leave speedstep enabled.
When the cpu has little to do it will reduce the multiplier to 1.6
If you get something to do that is cpu intensive, it will go at full blast.

There are programs that do it but they are really not good, it would be like setting you voltage to auto and just changing the multiplier (ie they just aren't that great). One is Power Tune 6 by Gigabyte, it came with my motherboard but I really would rather not use it because I know I can do a considerably better job myself

Edit: Or does Power Tune require a reset to apply the overclock anyway?

Alright, how would I enable speedstep? Is it in the BIOS?

Thanks guys!
I found the Speedstep in the BIOS under the acronym EIST. Turns out it was already enabled so I downloaded HWinfo64 and noticed that in fact, my CPU was clocking down to 1600MHz this whole time... thanks for not picking that one up CPU-Z...
