Monitor looses signal, (GPU or CPU) fan goes 100% and computer shuts down.

It only started happening recently, but sometimes my computer will loose signal to the monitor, the fan will go into over drive (unsure if GPU or CPU fan) and the PC will restart.

Its not a consistent thing, it can happen at any time, for example;

I will be playing a game, 5 minutes in and the problem will occur.
I could be editing in AAE6 and often the shutdown will happen.
Sometimes it even just happens when im browsing the web.

Willing to try anything to help get this resolved, and open to suggestions.
