I upgraded my motherboard from http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138296 to http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131853. I am trying to get a 60 gig OCZ-Agility3 SSD working on my fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate.

I made a mistake at the outset, and didn't reformat my SSD or HD before installing the new MOBO. So the result was two installs of windows, and my inability to access the SSD (because it was configured to my old HD(?I think?)). So I installed to my HD, thinking that I would migrate later. At this point, the SSD and the HD both showed up in bios.

Once I got everything up and running on the new mobo, I reformatted the SSD. After reformatting it, I can no longer see the SSD in bios or on my OS.

I've installed latest drivers, tried switching the ports, and switched back and forth from AHCI to IDI. No luck.

Any thoughts on what I should do are appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Solution
1.) Disconnect all drives from your motherboard.
2.) Remove the battery from your motherboard and clear your CMOS (see page 2-21 of your motherboard manual if you need instructions).
3.) Reinsert the battery and connect your Agility 3 to one of the Intel 6Gb/s ports (SATA6G_1 or SATA6G_2).
4.) Boot into BIOS and change the SATA mode of the port your drive is connected to to AHCI mode.
5.) Save your BIOS settings and reboot into BIOS.

See if your BIOS now recognizes your Agility 3.
Do you have an external SATA device? Try attaching the SSD AFTER booting with one and see if it can be initialized and or recognized in the Disk Management. use diskmgmt.msc

IF the disk is not AFU it should show up... otherwise OCZ should warranty it. Check their RMA process off the support page.

Not sure I understand what you mean. I'm a newb, and am learning to do this as I go... what do you mean use "diskmgmt.msc"?
