I have followed the guide from here: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/261145-31-perform-steps-posting-post-boot-video-problems

Where I am now: I am 99% confident that the MOBO 12 pin connector is attached - when I plug in my PSU to the wall, I notice my network LAN light comes on - when I plug in a LAN cord it stays on (yellow). I have ensured my 4x4 CPU power cord is also connected. I have only used 1 ram stick (out of two, and double checked manual to make sure it was the right slot (1st and 3rd closest to CPU)).

Now, when I plug in the computer the CLEAR CMOS does nothing, BUT when I hit the power button on the MOBO or on the case, after I press the CLEAR CMOS button I can see the PSU fan move 1/8 in (it 'tries' to start?).

Push comes to shove, I will be taking all the pieces apart, and 'turning' the MOBO on with just PSU, CPU, +/- ram. The MOBO speaker is plugged in, and I'm getting nothing.

Thanks!

OK - solved this issue!

Solution: Unplugged all the cords, and took out the GPU.
1. With ONLY PSU, MOBO, and CPU (with heat sink fan) - plugged it in and it turned on (LED lit up on MOBO)
2. Added 2 sticks of RAM - OK
3. Plugged in cords from front of computer - OK
4. Plugged in Chassis Fan to MOBO - NOT OK,
MOBO would not turn on at all. After unplugging the cords to MOBO (fans power on) - this worked fine.
5. Added GPU, Hard Drive, and everything else - all OK.
6. Eventually set up monitor and now I'm getting ready to add the OS.

I'm still not sure why the Chassis Fans cannot be connected to the MOBO, it won't even lit up with em in. Any thoughts?
