I want to ask something about my heatsink
I just bought Xigmatek SD 964W to replace my old stock heatsink from my AMD Phenom II x4 955 BE.
The first try i install this, a problem occured. I turned on my PC and everything went well until the welcome screen of windows 7 appeared and my PC suddenly turned off by itself.
I dont know what's the problem, i alread tried to loosening up the screws and clearing BIOS/CMOS, but still not worked.
Then i changed again to the old stock heatsink and i dont know why my PC worked just fine after that.
After several days, i tried to reinstall again the new heatsink. But another problem occured again.
The screen just goes blank like it's on standby mode. The signal cable was plugged to my VGA slot but nothing appears on the monitor.
And again i switched to my old heatsink and everything went well...
It's very frustrating to me since the heatsink is kinda pricey but not worked.
Does anyone know why is it happening and the solution to this problem?
btw my CPU is AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE, the motherboard is Asrock970 Xtreme4 and my VGA card is HIS HD 6670
