As the title says, I am building a pc for the first time solely for playing League of Legends and browsing the internet. I've always been a console gamer but after playing LOL at my friends' house I am hooked. This being said, I don't want to spend a huge amount of money due to other hobbies. I won't skimp on the graphics card but If anyone could kind of point me in the right direction (parts wise) I'd appreciate it. I've been looking into Intel processors and didn't know if any of them could run League of Legends on High resolution besides the I5 +. Any insight would be of help.

Thanks

And upgrading is easier...

Thanks! My friend told me not to use AMD and to choose Intel :/

Also my manager gave me some advice and said to go out and buy a cheap desktop and just upgrade it with the necessary parts to play League of Legends since this is my first build. Do you all agree with that or should I just stick to my guns and build from scratch?

OR should I buy a nvidia geforce graphics card? Don't really know the quality of the one you selected.

I don't exactly know what a build usually costs. I'm just trying to do a build to where I can play LOL on high resolution and browse the internet. I am going to buy parts as I go so I don't have to spend 500 all at once or whatever the cost may be.

Hmm... well I've found that League of Legends on maximum graphics is quite easy to achieve. I'd get an AMD processor (for the price), maybe a GTX 660 Ti and just build everything else around that. Seeing as CPU and GPU are generally the most important parts of a gaming computer. You also want at least 8GB of RAM.

Not unless you plan on overclocking.

I wouldn't know how to even overclock it lol. Like I said I am a console player but I have changed sides to PC. So basically the build that ducki provided will be fine and just get the gtx 660 ti? Thanks again for all the help. I just don't want to invest money into a build and not be able to do it haha

660 Ti will do you fine for League of Legends. As will a non-overclocked CPU. However, be wary that the new games and technologies coming out in Q4 of this year may prove that system to be "worthless" (exaggeration).

you dont need a dedicated card to max out LoL. the on board video of A10 5800k should be enough even for 1080. However, if you can fork out another 660ti i would sugguest getting an i3 3220 or fx4300 for the cpu.

Are you joking? I hope so. Even though the game is not very graphic intensive. You will need a dedicated card to get 60 fps and max graphics.

A10-5800k will be 100% fine...

Problem is you cant upgrade your system with a fm2 motherboard easily...
Am3+ motherboard , 965 phenom, hd7770/7850 combo is more 'futureproof' .well if you intend to play more intensive games...
And also stick with a amd gpu because they have a better price/performance
