First of all let me start off by saying I know nothing about computers so could any solutions please be kept simple

So I went to boot up my computer, its custom made, dont know much about it apart from its got an amd motherboard and processor. So when I boot it up it says:

Verifying dmi pool data.....
Amd data change...update new data to dmi!
Boot from cd/dvd
Disk boot failure, insert system disk and press enter.

Now I dont have a cd or dvd to boot it from and I have no idea of what to do. Can anyone help me?

Never mind I got it working, turns out a couple of wires had come out of the hard drive so I just messed around with them till I got it working. Thanks for the answers though :)

Go into the BIOS - press F2 at first screen - then change the boot priority to the hard drive. Save and Exit.

If you have left a CD or DVD in the cd/dvd drive, the sstem thinks that the disk is the OS then when nothingi s found it loses its way to the hdd. Also, some DELL PC's (and Acer) have a security feature that when the cd/dvd is set as first boot option then it won't boot to the hdd even if no cd or dvd disk is present.
