hi, i have an issue with intel hd4000 driver on my windows 7 installation.

a few days ago i tried to update to the latest version of this driver and after restart it's stuck with the default windows vgasave driver.

As you can see in the picture , in device manager the driver is installed correctly , but it is not working ! the currently installed driver is the one downloaded by windows update, but neither other driver will work. They only show blank adapter name in Display settings...

i tried uninstalling and reinstalling the adapter in device manager, no luck.

i think it can be an issue with Virtu MPV i installed a few months ago ...

any suggestion is welcomed...

yes, the problem appeared when i tried to update to 3071 driver , now i have installed 2932 driver from windows update . anyway, same results on any driver.

specs: 3770k cpu , mb: ga-z77x-ud3h , win7 x64 sp1

i downloaded the driver from windows website, and after installing it, no driver will work, i tried them all now.

tried with an pci-e graphics card and it works, only the igp is not used by windows... and i checked device manager, no conflicts.

i forgot to mention , the problem appeared when i tried to update the intel hd graphics drivers, and i got stuck during setup on a screen with graphic aberations, like gpu errors. and i had to do a button reset. after i rebooted i got stuck with windows default vgasave mode refusing to use the hd4000 card which is properly installed in device manager

i managed to solve it. as a last solution, i regedit, delete all entries containing 'hd graphics' , and after reboot and install again intel 3071 drivers, works flawlessly.
