Sorta silly question, not sure.

Right, so when I RMA'd my ram they accidently sent me 2 packs of identical ram instead of 1 pack, I thought this was odd and I used the "Dodgy" pack of ram, (The other pack is still factory sealed), No problems at all, no BSOD, quick question, since I have the 2 packs, 2x4Gb, Corsair Vengeance ram and a ASUS Maximus V Formula, is it possible to use both packs in the 2 sets of dim slots?

You might ask Corsair what to do.
If it was a mistake, you should be prepared to return the non sealed kit at Corsair's expense.
Most likely, they will say don't bother in which case your conscience will be clear.

If I understand correctly, they sent you two kits of 2 x 4gb, and you are asking if you can install both to get 16gb.
Yes, it should work. Definitely test whatever you install well with memtest86+.
But be aware that Corsair or other ram makers will not normally support ram from separate kits.

Mate, the ram came from a seller, "Scan.co.uk" Great place, the 2 packs are literally identical, no difference, I think they accidently sent a fresh pack instead of my pack that had a dead stick in it, when I opened them, the ram was as fresh as daisy's (Not factory sealed), But both are the same. If the ram fries, I'll buy more, simple as.

I know the MB supports the 32, and Win7 HP 64-bit supports 16Gb, Others support 128Gb ( ? ), So I should be fine in that respect.

Also a quick note to add, when I had my ram at the time, I stripped the heatsinks off of them and the ram wasn't in great shape, I had to do this due to my cooler being unable to fit, so the unsealed pack was a totally different pack.

yes will be fine then

and geofelt was referring to the attitude that people seem to have of

"they are a big company they can afford to lose it"

technically you are probably stealing it :)

I guess you could say it's technically stealing, I was tempted to send the pack back to them but I declined to as I wanted to keep the pack as a back up pack, I've noticed the same attitude, but half the time it depends on what Item(s) were accidently sent, etc.

To be honest, I couldn't have put that better mate, our money for her funeral, apparently that's pissed alot of people off, from what I've seen on FB atleast, (I know, not the best place, but hey)
