Ok so it's not really a CPU Fan issue but today I replaced my old stock cpu fan with a new CoolMaster Hyper 101 well everything seems fine but one thing I did notice is that the stock fan was using a 4-pin adapter and the new fan uses a 3-pin, my motherboard actually has both right next to each other, but since I plugged in the new fan in the 3-pin adapter and start my computer every time it gives me a CPU Fan Error.
Not sure if this is cause it doesn't recognize a fan plugged in the 4-pin but is there a way to make it recognize the new fan so I don't get that error or something.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

More than likely the 3 pin location is a System Fan Head, and the 4 pin is the CPU Fan Header(double check your motherboard layout. Since your Mb doesn't detect anything connected to the CPU fan header, it gives you a warning beep. You can connect the 3 pin to a 4 pin slot, but I don't remember which pin you leave uncovered. Just google it.

Hi,
It is possible that your mobo detecets 4 pin adapter only.
Go to BIOS, and set CPU FAN fail warning DISABLED.
This will allow you to avoid this kind of message.

It is normal to get this kind of message even if your fan is connected to 4 pin and SMART Fan control ENABLED. So PC will start, FAN will not turn on since CPU is cool and you'll get that message.
