Would 450W PSU be enough ? I'm not sure if this is certified PSU or not, I only know its 450W and has 12 A on +12V1 and 14 A on +12V2 rail.
My specs are:
AMD Athlon II x4 640 3.0 GHz
4GB of RAM
699 GB SAMSUNG Hard Drive. Could I buy a HD 7770 for this computer ? Currently got HD 5570

Solution

Yes you might aswell go for it give a shot since it says has 12 A on +12V1 and 14 A on +12V2 rail
Problem with non branded psus is they say 450 but might an do only 250W so a Antec 380W or CX430 is recommended. Also you can think of a HD7750 which doesnt require much power 55w only but put up a good gaming performance.
Thanks :)

i use a Corsair 430W for many single GPU builds (7770, 7750, GTX 650, etc) and have not had any problems. I notice many people go overboard with the PSU they select...unless you plan on upgrading to a multi-GPU rig, a 500W GPU should handle most single GPU builds.

No I do not plan to upgrade to multi GPU and not planning to OC either, and the 7770 im going for is either Club3D one which says the minimum recommended is 450W or some Sapphire edition which had 450W minimum certified PSU but I doubt my current PSU would be on the AMD certified list. So should I go for the HD 7770 ? And which one, appreciate your answers.

HD7770 80watt TDP only hence Im 99% sure you will be fine without putting on a fire but the 1% is only missing because the PSU is unknown.

Thanks

Thanks for your answers, I'll give the HD 7770 a shot, one last question though: If it turns out it's not enough to feed the HD 7770.. will it burn down the whole PC ?

Just as a point of reference I have a s lightly OC'd Phenom II x4 965BE with a 6870 in it. When it's running full bore it pulls about 350-360 watts from the wall, which at 85% efficient would be delivering just a shade above 300 watts to the machine. If you cut that in half for the video vs the CPU you'd be looking at 150 watts a piece, or 12.5A per 12v rail at the absolute max, and that assumes all of the power is being delivered there (none on the 3.3 or 5).

Your machine should be quite a bit less power hungry. since both your CPU and video card use a good portion less power. You should be fine with your existing PSU.
