I have an msi hd 7750 (R7750-PMD1GD5/OC) and my bro have an old n9800gt (N9800GT-MD1G),i think the msi hd 7750 is better than the n9800gt but i am shocked to see that the n9800gt is having better frames than the msi hd 7750 in most new games like assassins creed 3 etc...[I had tested these two with one cpu] Why is it like that ?Is it any problems with my graphics drivers?

n9800gt :- http://tiny.cc/106bvw

msi hd 7750 :-

My system specs are :- http://tiny.cc/636bvw

core 2 duo E7500 2.93 GHz
500 gb hdd
4 gb ddr2 zion memory
intel dg31pr motherboard
450 w power supply

and the two cards i had told..

Please find me a solution guys

It is possible that you really just need to run a driver cleaner to eliminate ALL old instances of drivers before installing the new AMD graphics card. This will help get rid of the file sludge left behind by the 9800 GT.

...however, I highly doubt that. Your aging Core 2 Duo CPU is your bottleneck. The 7750 is far more powerful than the 9800, but you can't make use of it. More and more games are being released with support for more than two threads and your CPU just can't handle it. You are due for an upgrade, as you have already topped out your system. Newer games can be played on your system, but no matter what you do to try to improve it you will just end up getting the same result.

Hi,
7750 is better card by quite. But Assasin's creed is not optimized very well. Nvidia has some, or non issues with that game, and ATI is full of troubles.
I have tested 9800GT on that game vs 4850HD. 9800gt smoked ati out of way, but we all know that 4850 is a bit better card than 9800gt.

More of a counterpoint to nbelote than an answer, but here goes…

Many posters will decry gaming with an older machine, not from knowledge, but from opinion. I HAVE a core 2 duo E7500 with a HD7770 on a Gigabyte motherboard with DDR3 1333 memory. It’s my daughters gaming computer.

This computer runs Bioshock inf and the new Tombraider beautifully at 60+ FPS at high settings. It can be done.

That said, yes, 775 socket is getting to the end of its lifespan and will need to be upgraded eventually. But as long as YOU are satisfied with the performance, keep it.

My rec is for the HD 7770, but a 7750 will suffice. You also might want to put $50 into a G41 motherboard, which will give you DDR3 and another few years of use before Hazwell.
