Hey guys I need some help.
All of my keys on my laptop function properly; however, my zero on my numeric keypad doesn't seem to want to work.

Every other number works but the zero.

Any suggestions?

Mine just started doing that. I just figured it out.... Press the FN Lock key - it's right after the F12 key. Now mine types the 0. ;)

Try taking the key off by gently prying it out using a pen or knife, or something you can get under they key. Sometimes the key may have a clip or a metal bar keeping the key connected, dont force it to come off or break it, just be gentle in removing it as best you can. Once you get it off, make sure that nothing is blocking the inside cavity. Pull up Word Pad or any kind of typing software and use a pen to depress the actuator in the key cavity. If it works, most likely you had something interfering with the keypress so you can just put the keycap back on and make sure it works. If it doesnt work you may have a broken switch or actuator and all you can really do is take it in the get repaired, or ignore it.

Hey Dalmvern,
Well my zero works fine I don't think it could be the actuator. Every time I depress the zero a screen pops upon the screen that says from top to bottom Player version, language, accessibility, settings, global settings, etc., so therefore I am sure that the actuator is not faulty.

Ah, I see, thats why you should provide a little more information in your original post. It sounds like that key may have been keybound to your Windows Media Player somehow... is WMP open in the background or anything? Also, check to see if Shift, Ctrl, or Alt keys are depressed as well.

Ill be honest with you, I do not know much about Windows 8, so hopefully someone else will be able to help you.
