Windows/Installer is almost 90GB

Hello, my c:/windows/installer folder is approaching 90GB on my 120GB SSD, which means with the rest of windows and a few programs I have <100MB of free space left. I need to know the best way to clean this up or if I can delete it all or what.

have you got a second hard drive with enough free space?

if so move it all there

if not delete it all--but you may face issues uninstalling some programs if you do

theres also the microsoft installer cleanup tool--but thats been discontinued as it can also cause problems

though its still available from places other than microsoft

I can just move the entire folder to my HDD without any problems? And from now on will it continue putting those folders on my HDD? And I've heard deleting it can cause problems when installing/uninstalling/patching, is that true?

you can move it to the hard drive

but will probably need to remap to it for it to continue putting files there

and yes deleting it can cause problems when installing/uninstalling/patching
