compatibility questions for my mother board

Hey all hows it going, my old gpu recently died, and i want to buy a new one. im wondering if any one out there could help me see if this gpu or maybe any others will work in my computer? I heard that pci express 2 cards are backward compatible but not always, i dont really feel like buying a card and then reliseing it wont work thanks in advance.

The Gt 640 will work just fine in there. It's the pcie 2.1 cards that don't always work in the 1.0 slot, but since you're thinking of getting a 2.0 card, it will have no issues

I would, something that's at least a 350w or 400w
