Do I need to remove HD 4000 driver for new video card?

My PC is using Intel HD 4000 graphics right now from my i5 3570K and I just bought a HD 7870.

Do I just need to plug in the 7870 and install drivers and hook the HDMI to the card and it'll work?

Or do I need to uninstall hd 4000 drivers first?

My motherboard is a Gigabyte Z77 DS3H just in case I need to do anything in BIOS.

Thanks!

    Hi,
Just plug in new card and that's all. No need to uninstall Intel drivers.

7870 should be detected as primary display adapter.

    Best regards :)
  2. hmm if you do have issues you may need to disable the onboard adaptor if you don't get a signal after plugging in your new card.
