I currently have Radeon HD7770s in crossfire, but i just dont game its pointless to have them.

I am going to sell them and downgrade. Ill pay about 70GBP as i do graphics and render things.

Current after taking away the GPUs:

AMD FX-4100
Corsair 8GB Ram
WD 250GB HDD
OCZ 500w PSU
Asus M5A97 PRO
Windows 7 64bit

He wants to buy a crappy GPU because he doesn't play games anymore and end up with some money left over. I would just sell one card and keep the other. Otherwise you'd be selling them both, then end up with something lower than a single 7770 and have no left over money to boot. Plus a 7770 isn't a bad card if you ever buy something on sale or whatever.

mace200200 hit the nail on the head with the suggestion to keep the single 7770... in my opinion.

You won't bet 100% of the cards value when you sell them (or one) most likely you will get 60-75%. I see them listed for $130 on Amazon (lowest price). I don't know what you can get for 70 GBP but a single 7770 used would sell for about that much.

If you really want a brand new GPU for I don't care what reason, the 7750 is really the bottom GPU people use. It's super small, super quite, pretty cheap, and pretty good power considering all that.

Why ask for advice if you clearly have your mind set on what you want. Just stick with one of the HD7770's as you won't make £63 on a used card. You'd be wasting time and money.

Tell him to get one off you and one off of eBay. If he doesn't want to, tell him to get knotted and sell one on eBay. Do not feel pressured into only selling one.

The retail price for one of those cards is roughly £85 (new).

You are doing this guy a favor selling them for £120.
