Hello,
I installed a virtual Windows XP machine on a friend's computer a year back. He is running a x64 version of Windows 7.
The virtual machine was there to run a x16 DOS program (BLA - Bottom Line Accounting ) to retrieve old information.
I am not sure if I used VirtualBox from Oracle or if I used the Virtual Windows XP from Microsoft.
Either way, I got a call from him today asking how to get to it again as he needed some information. I logged into his computer, only to be stumped myself. It has been months since he last used it, and I can no longer find any trace of it.
I have checked the recycle Bin, nothing.
I have checked the program files for the actual installation of the machine, as well as checking in the Documents and Appdata folders for the virtual harddrive/file for that machine. I have had no luck, and oddly I can find absolutely no trace of it anywhere.
Anybody have any idea what could have happened?
