I tried unsuccessfuly to upgrade the memory on an old XP HP desktop. The upgrade wouldn't work. After reinserting the 3 memory sticks, the pc wants to shut down just after the log on window or sometimes after 3-10 minutes of activity.
No blue screens, no promts to hit a key such as F1, no warnings of ram problems.
