This is my first build so I'm a newb at this.
I have tried a few sites that have calculators and have gotten results of 500-850W so not really sure what to use.
My parts so far are:

Core i7 3770k
32 GB (4 X 8GB) DDR3 Corsair Vengeance Blue 1333Mhz
Gigabyte GTX680 OC 4 GB
Asus Sabretooth Z77 Motherboard
2 X WD Black 2TB Hard Drive
1 X Samsung 840 Pro 128 GB SSD
LG Bluray Drive
LED CPU Fan Cooler
Some LED Case Fans

Thanks for any assistance.

If you are just sticking with the single video card anything in the 500-550 range will be more than sufficient. If you plan on going SLI at some point in the future you probably want to step that up to the 650-700 range. This, of course, is assuming you are buying a quality power supply and not some 10 dollar thing you find at a flea market.

From your build my personal guess is between 450-550.

I put your specs into the Thermaltake Power Supply Calculator and I get right around 500W.

Graphics cards use the most power. Hard drives, cd/dvd/br drives ram and other components use some but not too much power.

Overclocking components can cause them to use more power then they are technically rated for but I don't think that's going to push you much over 600w.

It will be both for gaming as well as some photo/video editing as my wife does alot of that. I previously bought a pre-built system but would like to do it myself this time. No SLI for now and yes the single card atm.
And yes quality will be chosen over value. I have set aside 2-250 for this part.

I agree with edogawa - the Corsair 860i is a phenomenal choice. I own the Corsair HX 850 and I have been thrilled with it and would strongly recommend the 860i which is even better. If cost is an issue the HX850 or the Seasonic he listed both are good choices also.

The 860i come with great software that allows you to monitor your computer and adjust it.
