I have a Micro SD card that I mistakenly formatted yesterday. How could I undo the formatting to it and get all my inner files back? These files are my trip pictures and very precious. I know I am absolutely a fool. Is there anyone that could help me restore these files?
Thank you very much!

Download and install a program called "Recuva", from here:

http://www.piriform.com/recuva

Run it and it should be able to restore your files, but only if you do not use that micro SD card. Don't do anything to it, because if you put other files on it then you risk over-writing the areas where your deleted files were (when you delete files or format a disk, the files/data are not deleted, but the space is marked as unused and available for use, so as long as you don't write anything to the drive it should be recoverable).

Firstly, do not take any new picture or file on this Micro SD card. The data could rewrite your previous pictures and erase them forever.
Secondly, connect this card to your computer via a card reader. (If you have no any card Reader, you could directly buy or borrow one.)
Thirdly, download data recovery software to get back your files. There are many recovery tools online. Just do some research on the internet by using some key words, such as “memory card data recovery tool” and land a right one for your own needs. (You should decide whether you want to pay for this recovery software. If you want to obtain much more security of data recovery, you could pay for it. If money is tight, you could directly choose a data recovery freeware here.)
Fourthly, follow the instructions of this recovery tool and restore your data.
Note: You are supposed to back up your important data all the time.

Thanks you for your detailed instruction. I have tried them step by step and download your mentioned data recovery freeware. Now, I have restored all my needed files. It is really right to post my question in this forum, right?
Thank you very much.

Thank you for your guys’ replies. In fact, I have tried the two recommended recovery software. Both of them work well. However, the second one seems to restore the largest amount of my data.
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think you've got many options here from a troubleshooting perspective. If the computer isn't picking up the device at all, there isn't much you can do other then send it to a data recovery service.

Maybe someone else will have other suggestions, but if the machine doesn't detect the drive at all no program is going to be able to recover the data. I used Vibosoft SD card data recovery::
