Hi,
start with my system spec:
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD7-B3
CPU: Core i7-2600k
GPU: EVGA GTX 260 SLI
RAM: 16Gb(no fault)
SSD Vertex 4
PSU: Corsair AX1200
OS: windows 8 pro 64bit
I recently experienced a very weird problem with my PC.
It was around March 22th,2013, I left my PC running overnight (just idle), and when I tried to play a video using VLC, I noticed strange lag spike happened every second. Then I noticed that my whole system is having lag spikes ( even when dragging the window around). only the mouse cursor works without lag spike.
I tried uninstalling graphic drivers and reinstall older version graphic drivers, I also tried other nvidia graphic cards, but nothing helped.
I got the "graphic driver stopped responding and has recovered" a few times, and the lag spike disappeared everytime after I uninstalled the driver from device manager.
I didn't notice any temperature problem, and 3dmark was unable to launch somehow.
Anyone has anny idea what was going on? I was thinking it could be a random windows update, but I was unable to track it since I clean installed the whole system after that. The problem still appears after I clean installed the system.
Please help thanks.

ok, what happened was this morning when I was watching youtube with dreamweaver opened and chrome, firefox opened, the PC went unresponsive ( the sound goes duuuuuuuuu daaaaaaaa laaaaaa gaaaaaa, mouse froze, everything froze), so I waited for 5 mins, then I pressed power button for 6 sec to shut down.
After I restart the system, the problem goes away, and everything is working fine since then. There is no windows notification for unexpected shutdown...
So yea, what the hell.
