Hi guys,

I'm looking to replace my PSU and GPU.
First off all, here are my current specs:

AMD II X6 1045T 2.7Ghz
Antec TruePower Trio, 550 Watt
Radeon HD 6870
8gb ram
2 x 500GB WD Blue, 1 x 2TB WD Green

My PSU is okay, but it's getting old (nearly 5 years) and I have the feeling that it's not giving the necessary supply at all times (sometimes problems with start-up). So I'm looking for an efficient powersupply, willing to pay around 80€ max.
Maybe this: Corsair Enthusiast Series TX750 V2.
Might be overkill however with 750W. I don't need the most advanced PSU, just an efficient one and enough 12V W for the future.

Next up is GPU. Although I'm not unhappy with my current GPU, I would like one with just a bit more oomph, that is able to max games such as Hitman Absolution and The Witcher 2 (without ubersampling) on 1080p and hopefully future games like Metro Last Light. I don't overclock either, so GPU needs to be out of the box able to maximize those games. I was looking here in the 150€-200€ price range and I have a favour for AMD (used to it and I've always been happy with it).

Thanks in advance!

For PSU I recommend the Cooler Master GX 650 its quite good for 80$
and for GPU currently I think either the GTX 660 Ti or AMD's HD 7870 OC edition fits you but the 660 Ti costs around 40-50$ more but gives does give better performance in some games like Battlefield 3.

Thanks whgan!

I've been checking recommended list of PSU on forum as well: Antec High Current Gamer HCG-620 and OCZ ZS650W. But which one do you think is better? Or maybe the Cooler Master GX 650 as recommended above?
To specify, I use my computer mainly for gaming, but I'm not a fanatic gamer as in that I don't need maximum performance for many hours...

I own two Corsair PSUs and I would highly recommend the HX 850. You can get it on sale here in the states for $140. It has enough power for you to go crossfire or SLI if you want.

For a GPU why don't you consider the i5-3570. It is in your price range (close) and it is much faster than AMD CPUs

As far as a GPU the ATI 7950 is hard to beat pricewise and Tom's recommends it. The review is here: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-4.html

I am not in the UK and so I am not sure if these components meet your budget there. However they are rated highly and offer the best bang for the buck

I think both of those choices that you have are really good, though I'd go with the Antec one if im going to be doing a setup with more than one GPU, so it depends on you.
AND For the GPU since you're not a "fanatic gamer" (like me) I would go with the AMD HD 7870 as they are cheaper but actually very comes close performance wise to the 300$ 660 Ti.
