Hey guys I have a 1 year old Seagate Sata HDD in my pc.

Yesterday i got a computer shop to install me a new Gpu (cus im a noob) anyway that guy in the shop said he had to move some things around because the new GPU was longer than the older one.

Ever since i got my pc back i can now hear my HDD scratching when it reads data (quite often) it isnt too loud i can only hear it if im sitting next to the PC.

Should i be worried about a failing HDD or is it because he moved stuff around that im hearing it more?

I have run some disc checks and it says everythig is fine. I am currently backing up the whole drive as we speak. Just incase of failiure

Please let me know what you think?

My other question is that should i be hearing it often?? I can sometimes hear it for a few seconds then it will go silent. Is it normal for it to be accessing data so much? Sorry if im a noob xD

Normally the noises from hard drives are when you are doing many IO intensive tasks such as looking at files and opening programs. It should be more silent when not using the computer. In any case it is not a bad idea to back up your hard drive just in case, but that should be done even if it's not failing.
