Hello friends,
So here is what happened with my Toshiba l840d comming with UEFI boot and windows 8:
- I formatted the whole hard drive, including recovery partition
- I reinstalled everything with recovery dvds, but at boot I got this error : A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed. Error code: 0xc000000f
- I used a downloaded copy of win 8 pro to run a command prompt and used these commands:
Bootrec /fixmbr
Bootrec /fixboot
Bootrec /rebuildbcd
- rebuildbcd detected win 8 and added it to boot (i think)
- Win 8 could boot, but background is black and recovery partition is not working (I couldn't run a recovery from recovery partition, and couldn't boot from it)
Any suggestions ?
